Last week, we covered the historic Brazilian liquor, cachaca, which is versatile and tastes great in cocktails.
Made from sugar cane, the liquor is traditionally mixed as a caipirinha, that gorgeous summery drink we all enjoy. This week, we've got a new cocktail recipe that offers a little twist of mango.
And for those of you looking for possible alternatives to cachaca, vodka or cane will work as a substitute. Though if you're into the idea of authentic Brazilian, stick with cachaca.
Ingredients:
50ml Germana Cachaca
100ml Mango, fresh, chopped
2 teaspoons of superfine granulated sugar
1 cup crushed ice
Glass:
Martini or wine glass
Method:
Place all of the ingredients into a blender. Blend well. Pour into a martini or wine glass.
Tip: For a little variation, replace the mango with five ripe strawberries
Now that?s refreshing!
