document.write("I have read your article with much interest and agree if you go to the socalled fast food pizza you are wasting your money, there are rubish to say the least.
What i find strange though is the variance in corkage charges in the Cape the average was about R25.00 but up country R50.00.
I think resteraunts are charging way to much for corkage.

document.write("If you're going to name pizza restaurant names in Cape Town, you cannot go without naming Baccinni's!!! No it's not a pizzeria that I once visited and loved. It's one that I have gone to for more than 20 years. The place is packed. Every night!!! Everybody that I have told to go there or taken with me has agreed: they make truly great tasting pizzas. I have eaten at Col'Cacchio many times, and their pizzas are truly great, with a humongous selection, and there is the problem. It strays away from the traditional and makes pizzas that goes above the imagination, starting to be like the americans. Just throw whatever on the base! As for the others mentioned in the article: never heard of them, so they can't be that great! I don't think this was researched very well, cause not even Col'Cacchio is mentioned. Probably just a list taken from some very expensive art deco magazine intended for high profile rich people who truly does not now the value of good food. To them it is: the more expensive, the better it should be.. stef");

");
document.write("Tsks tsk, how could you not mention Mama Persello’s in Knysna, easily the tastiest pizza I have had in South Africa. And they don't skimp on the toppings either!. Manna");

");
document.write("The loss to the restaurant of you bringing your own is huge, and remember they have overheads and salaries to pay, not to mention rent and the set-up costs.
BYO is NOT cool and restaurants should charge a premium for doing so.. ");

document.write("Good comment Malcolm, I say to hell with the silly comment posted on overheads. What he might have said was Malcolm my friend you have no idea how to rip people off. This man does not know the difference between rip off and overhead expenses. Stay away from excessive wine charges which don't seem to be sufficient profits for most restaurants and well done for those that don't even charge corkage ! I also agree that col'cacchio was well worth a mention in this survey as they are a cut above roller belt pizza's.. Terry");

Since the first visit I have only gone to Col'Cacchio when going out with mates for a pizza...
Definitely recommend it as the best in South Africa!. Richard");

Try Toni's in Pta, (Moot area, tel: 012 329 3900). Although her prices are becoming a bit excessive it is still worth it. Really inventive combinations without spoiling the Italian taste, and you can have 10cm pizzas, which means if you can't make up your mind on one big pizza you can have 3 different small pizzas! Book at least a week in advance!. Liezel");
